About me!

Having spent many years researching my own ancestors, this interest and passion led me to pursuing an MSc in Genealogical, Palaeographical and Heraldic Studies. The focus of my dissertation was the rise of seaside towns between 1830 – 1860; Blackpool, Fleetwood and Poulton-le-Sands (now Morecambe). My research aim was to discover the builders and investors of these towns during a period of substantial growth in seaside towns across the United Kingdom. Using landowners and other prominent individuals as case studies allowed me to understand their roles within the towns, wealth and family connections.

I am a member of the Register of Qualified Genealogists.
